Curtains and Window Blinds Are NOT the Same

Many persons find it very ostentatious to go in for separate window blinds despite having drapes and curtains fitted to the windows. Well, do not make the mistake of confusing the function of window blinds with that of curtains and drapes. The purpose of the window blind is to restrict the entry of heat even as it permits the circulation of air.

On the other hand, the function of a curtain is to not just restrict air circulation but to control entry of heat as well. If you cover the window with a drape, you can be rest assured that the inside of the room would not only become dark and cool but stuffy as well.

On the other hand, window blinds, irrespective of whether the slats are made of wood or plastic, will never be air tight. Secondly, window blinds give you the opportunity to be creative as compared to curtains. The only way to decorate your curtains is to go in for embroidery.

However, not all of us are proficient in this art. Further, a curtain is considerably larger than the blinds. In such a scenario, the effort and the hard work required to improve the appearance of curtain will be a lot more.

On the other hand, all you need to do is draw any image on the window blinds and it would automatically become a very beautiful ornament in your room. How? Well, when you have the window blinds open, the slats would be parallel to each other and the image would not be visible.

However, the moment you close the blinds, all the lines would correlate and you would suddenly have an image in front of you. It can either be scenery or even the image of your child's favorite animation or comic hero.
